Argyle is rated the number one winery in Oregon, named 'Oregon's Premier Winery' by Wine Spectator in 2000. Argyle has nine wines listed in Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines list.
Established in 1987 in Oregon's Willamette Valley, Argyle focuses on crafting fine wine from premium pinot noir and chardonnay. Argyle's three vineyards face the impressive Cascade Mountain peaks from where dawn rises.
The varying elevation of the vineyards allows the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to be picked progressively from lower to higher elevations as they reach their peak ripeness. This allows for fruit in the higher sites to be picked with brilliant acidity and fruit intensity for Argyle’s sparkling wines.
The winery farms three vineyards: Knudsen Vineyard, Stoller Vineyard and Lonestar Vineyard.
